Routine appointments are available to book on line if registered for MHOL services.

GP/ANP Telephone Triage

We are running a telephone triage system. A member of our admin team will take your details, a brief description of the problem and contact number for a clinician ring you back.

Providing a brief description of your problem will help staff signpost your call to the most appropriate service and clinicians to prioritise your call, based on urgency/clinical need.

Econsult Requests

If you have access to online services and would like to avoid busy phone queues, we have the econsult service available via our website. You can submit details of your concern, admin requests including medication reviews and sicknotes. These will be processed in surgery and you will receive a reply either by phone or email if appropriate

Medical issues submitted before 11.30am will be dealt with the same day. Submissions after this point will be dealt with the following working day.

Practice Nurse/HCA appointments

Routine appointments are available at least 4 weeks in advance for our practice nurse and health care assistant team. You are able to telephone the surgery to arrange an appointment. Please note, requests for blood tests must be authorised by a clinician in the first instance.

Home Visits

If you feel you are unable to attend the surgery but would like advice or assessment from a clinician, please contact the surgery by telephone as soon as possible, so the team can prioritise your call.

The practice policy is that the doctors will not visit children at home. Children who are ill are should be brought to the Centre for an emergency appointment where they will undergo a thorough assessment. This is considered to be a more safe approach.

Teaching & Training

As a practice, we are very interested in education and development. Every practice member has regular training, and the doctors are involved in research and learning.

We are accredited as a training practice. GP Registrars come to us during their final year of training to become registered as GPs. Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have been gaining experience in hospital medicine. We value the opportunity of helping to develop the family doctors of the future. We also help train junior doctors and medical students.
